Faculty of Mathematical Sciences (North Campus), Delhi University | February 2024

On 24 February 2024, the esteemed Faculty of Mathematical Sciences (North Campus) at Delhi University hosted the PHUSE Academia Meet, a seminar that ignited the passions of over 100 postgraduate students in statistical and mathematical sciences. Their vibrant engagement showcased a deep-seated curiosity about the future landscape of clinical research.

The seminar commenced with a warm introduction from the PHUSE India team, which set the tone for an immersive exploration of the PHUSE foundational pillars: Community, Events, Working Groups and Communications. PHUSE’s steadfast dedication to bolstering both the clinical research community and academia reverberated throughout the event, leaving an indelible mark on the students and igniting a newfound drive to delve into the clinical research domain.

Gagandeep Singh Saini captivated the audience with insightful talks that struck a chord with the students. He gave a comprehensive examination of the pivotal roles played by the clinical drug development and data science community within clinical research, shedding light on the myriad career opportunities available in this dynamic field.

The event drew to a close on an encouraging note, with students actively participating and posing questions about their career trajectories and how to align them with industry professionals. We extended our heartfelt gratitude to the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences for their invaluable assistance and unwavering support in facilitating this exceptional meeting. We also gave special thanks to the PHUSE team, particularly Sarvesh Singh and Shrishaila Patil, for spearheading this enlightening student initiative.
