Rajasthan University | February 2025

As part of PHUSE India’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between academia and the clinical research industry, two engaging Academia Meet sessions were successfully conducted in Jaipur – at IIS (Deemed to be University) on 7 February 2025 and the University of Rajasthan on 10 February 2025. These events were designed to offer students and scholars insights into the clinical research landscape, the drug development life cycle, and the evolving role of technology in the pharmaceutical sector.

I’m humbled and grateful for the opportunity to lead both sessions, which not only enriched my own experience but also allowed for focused and personal engagement with the students and faculty at these institutions.

The second session took place at the Department of Zoology of the University of Rajasthan and brought together around 55 postgraduate students and research scholars. This session offered deeper discussions on:

  • Aligning academic research with industry expectations
  • Skills needed for success in clinical research roles
  • Emerging technologies shaping the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

The thoughtful engagement and insightful questions from the students reflected a strong interest in applying academic learning to real-world challenges. It was a pleasure to witness such passion for innovation and professional growth.

A heartfelt thank you to the Dean, faculty, and all students and scholars for their keen involvement and meaningful dialogue.

The Academia Meets in Jaipur reinforced the critical importance of creating platforms where students can engage directly with industry professionals. These experiences spark curiosity, offer direction, and help students connect their academic journey with real-world career opportunities in clinical research and pharmaceuticals.

I look forward to continuing this journey of learning, mentoring and collaboration – and to contributing further to empowering the next generation of professionals.
