Copenhagen is a popular spot for our Single Day Events; indeed, it is in the top three most frequent PHUSE SDE host cities, alongside Frankfurt and London. Themes have ranged from Innovation in Life Science Programming to Data Transparency.

The first PHUSE Single Day Event (SDE) held in Copenhagen was back in 2010, chaired by Jean-Marc Ferran and Pia Hjulskov Kristensen. Just last month, we celebrated our 10th SDE in the Danish capital! Mikkel Traun and Pia have played an instrumental part in organising all subsequent events – Pia has chaired or co-chaired 8 out of the 10 SDEs!

The 10th SDE was held on 6th June 2019 at Novo Nordisk’s largest research centre, in Måløv, and attended by 115 delegates from 8 countries across 25 companies. The theme was ‘ADaM Revisited’, which saw local pharma companies come together to share their best practices, tools, learnings and experiences using CDISC ADaM. Presentations were given on CDISC SEND, open source and new reality regarding data sharing.

The 5th SDE in Copenhagen, in 2014, saw 65 people from the life sciences programming field join the day in the Ferring Pharmaceuticals offices. The theme then was ‘Data transparency and Traceability’, and 11 presenters contributed to the success of the day by sharing their knowledge and expertise. The Copenhagen SDE 2017 was an extremely successful event, boasting 110 attendees from 9 countries spanning 28 companies! Held at the Novo Nordisk headquarters in Bagsværd, Copenhagen, with the theme of ‘Interoperability and Technology’, 14 speakers shared their extensive experiences, lessons learned and best practices.
